Sometimes a craving for something sweet gets the better of us. Late at night when all shops are closed or its raining outside and you simply don’t want to wait for an entire batch of cookies to bake.
The answer? Microwave mug cake!
Now, admittedly, we were sceptical. But using your SQ Professional microwave you can whip up this mouth-wateringly easy and moist chocolate mug cake in a matter of minutes! Plus it’s deliciously decadent enough to curb your naughty sweet tooth and tastes amazing.
- 3/3.5 tbsp. flour
- 2 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ tsp. baking powder
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 4 tbsp. milk
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp. hazelnut chocolate spread (Alternatively 1 tbsp. Dulce de Leche)
- 1 min
- REALLY EASY
In your mug, add all of the dry ingredients and mix together.
Mix in the milk and oil until smooth and well combined.
Add 1 tablespoon of hazelnut chocolate spread or Dulce de Leche on top of the centre of the batter.
Microwave for 70 seconds on a high setting, be careful not to let it overspill!
And voila! It’s done! Carefully remove from the microwave and allow it to cool slightly. Add your toppings of choice and then tuck in!
TIP: Fancy it up with optional toppings: whipped cream, chocolate sauce, extra hazelnut spread or Dulce de Leche, melted chocolate, strawberries etc.
